V for Vendetta
V for Vendetta is from the genre fantasy. It was made in 2005. The movie was directed by James McTeigue and written by Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski. The tagline is Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gun powder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot.
The main characters:
Nathalie Portman as Evey
Hugo Weaving as V
Stephen Rea as Inspector Finch
Stephen Fry as Deitrich
Adapted from David Lloyd's graphic novel of the same name, "V for Vendetta" tells the story of Evey Hammond and her unlikely but instrumental part in bringing down the fascist government that has taken control of a futuristic Great Britain. Saved from a life-and-death situation by a man in a Guy Fawkes mask who calls himself V, she learns a general summary of V's past and, after a time, decides to help him bring down those who committed the atrocities that led to Britain being in the shape that it is in.
My personnal rating: I would give **. Even though I miss a lot of the movie because I was gone fantasy is a genre I really don't like I maybe watched 15 minutes of the movie and it was enought to tell it was not my kind of movie. But in the little bit I watched I can say that there are a lot of symbols. I like the one when the domino fell.
My rating scale:
*The movie was really bad
**The movie was bad
***The movie was ok
****The movie was good
*****The movie was really good

Evey Hammond Are you a Muslim?
Gordon Deitrich: No. I'm in television.
The Simpsons Movie
The Simpsons is a comic movie, created in 2007 after many episodes of the show the Simpsons. The tagline of the movie is : See our family. And feel better about yours.
The movie was directed by David Silverman and written by James L Brooks and Matt Groening. There is no actor of course because the characters are not real. But there are people for their voice. Many people did more than one character. The main characters and their voices:
Homer- Dan Castellaneta
Marge-Julie Kavner
Bart-Nancy Cartwright
Margie-Nancy Cartwright
Lisa- Yeardley Smith
Synopsis: When Lisa Simpson tells the town of Springfield about their pollution problem, the town reacts and prohibits all pollution into the water. This doesn't stop Homer, who dumps a pig-waste silo into the water. Russ Cargill decides that Springfield is too dangerous and places a dome over the town, stopping anything from getting in or out. When the town people find out the true culprit behind the problem, they set out off straight for the Simpson's home. Escaping from the dome, the Simpsons decide to start a new life in Alaska, whilst the remainder of the town disappears [From Film Fan]
My personnal rating: I would give **** to this movie. I think that the movie is funny and serious at the same time. If we look at the movie many problems we have in our world now are treated in the movie. A big one, polution, is the main one in the movie. Even if they exagerate it with the dome we don't realize that our planet is "dying". The movie also make fun of the Government and it is pretty fun! I think because the characters are not real humans they can be more open with the subjects they are using and the way they show it.

The Graduate (1968) & Rumor Has It (2005)
The Graduate is a humor movie that was published in 1968. It was directed by Mike Nichols. In 2005, Rob Reiner produced Rumor Has It, that is like the continuation of The Graduate.
In the Graduate, Ben Braddock who just graduate from college, has an affair with Mrs. Robinson who is his parents friend. Then he fell in love with his lover's daughter and wants to marry her.
Rumor has it, is about a woman who finds out that her family inspired the movie the Graduate. She cheats on her husband to find out the truth about her mother and grand-mother.
The Graduate main characters are:
Anne Bancroft as Mrs. Robinson
Dustin Hoffman as Ben Braddock
Katharine Ross as Elaine Robinson
William Daniels as Mr. Braddock
Rumor has it main characters are:
Jennifer Aniston as Sarah Huttinger
Kevin Costner as Beau Burroughs
Shirley MacLaine as Katharine Richelieu
Mark Ruffalo as Jeff Daly
My personal rating: I would give **** to the Graduate and *** to Rumor has it. I really liked the Graduate. Ben makes the movie, he is really awkard and it makes the movie funny. He also says a lot of funny quotes. I like Mrs. Robinson, she has a funny personality. The movie is not too long like the others we watched before and the story is more entraitaining. I like the Graduate better and I think it is because of Dustin Hoffman he is really funny. Rumor has it is more confusing, at the beginning it is hard to understand who is who and the link with the Graduate.

Psycho (1960)

Psycho is a famous horor movie, directed by the famous, Alfred Hitchcock. Psycho is not as bloody as the horor movies that we have in the 21st century, but we can see that many of the movies have something in common, or from Psycho.
Psycho is about a woman who stole $40,000 from her employer's client. She ran away and end up in a small hotel. She met the owner, it seems like everything was fine until someone killed her in the shower. Her boyfriend and sister were looking for her, and made a scary discover.
The main actors are:
Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates
Vera Miles as Lila Crane
John Gavin as Sam Loomis
Martin Balsam as Milton Arbogast
My personnal rating: I would give ***. I do not really like psycho, first of all because it is in black and white. The music is really anoying and I don't think that it fits good with the movie. I also think that some of the scenes, like in gone with the wind like unreal. When The woman is stabbed in the shower, the murder stabbed her a lot of time, but there is no blood in the bath tube. But like Gone With The Wind, I we have to judge the movie from the time it has been published. I do think that for a almost 50 years ago movie, some of the scenes look good. Like I said before many "today's movies" have been inspired by Psycho. The movie was nominated for 4 Oscars obtained 5 wins and 3 nominations.
My rating scale:
*The movie was really bad **The movie was bad ***The movie was ok ****The movie was good *****The movie was really good

Gone With The Wind

Gone With The Wind is consider as drama-romance .The movie was adapted from Margaret Mitchell's novel. The novel was published in 1936 and the movie came three years later, in 1939.Gone with the wind is also consider as an epic movie, set in the South of the United States, during the civil war. The story is mostly tell by a white southern point.
The main actors are: Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara
Clark Gable as Rhett Butler
Leslie Howard as Asheley Wilkes
Olivia de Havilland as Melanie Hamilton
Hattie Mcdaniel as Mammy
My personnal opinion: I would give **. I did not really like the movie. It is really long, 3 hours and 39 minutes, and there is not a lot of actions that is happening during the movie.
I also think that some scenes look unreal, like the horse back ridding accidents.
Gone With The Wind was produced in 1939, and I think that for a movie that was made seventy years ago, the actors are pretty amazing. There is no really extraordinary scenes. We also should remember that Gone With The Wind won ten Academy Awards (8 regular, 1 honorary, 1 technical)
